What you'll bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent technical field
  • A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development

Senior Radiation Effects Engineer

As our Senior Radiation Effects Engineer you will be responsible for characterization of radiation environments for our missions and testing analysis for our spacecraft.  This position requires hands-on experience validating parts for radiation environments specific to aerospace.

Role

Design fault tolerant electrical systems for operating in a radiation environment

Simulate and model the GTO and GEO radiation environments

Coordinate and run radiation testing campaigns to upscreen components

Work with the structures team to determine the proper shielding levels across the spacecraft

Integrate these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team

Support other electrical design, bringup, and test activities

Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team.

Requirements

Electromechanical design experience

Experience running tests at radiation labs

Experience with designing dosimeter circuits

ECAD + MCAD Experience (Altium, Solidworks)
