The role

What you'll do

  • Design and build RF-phased array structures and electronic packages as a key member of a cross-functional product design team
  • Design harnesses, cables, and interconnects for large electronics assemblies and vehicle-mounted systems
  • Perform thermal and structural analyses to validate designs and ensure robust, reliable designs.
  • Create CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings, including tolerance analysis and GD&T in compliance with ASME Y14.5
  • Collaborate with the operations team to transition designs into production, driving quality and manufacturability.
  • Develop and execute environmental testing to validate product performance in real world conditions.

What you'll bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to design complex mechanical assemblies in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience including hands-on design and build
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in mechanical design packages such as SolidWorks or equivalent
  • Demonstrated comfort with hands-on build and test of mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience designing harnesses or cables for complex electronic systems
  • Ability to understand and contribute to electrical schematics, diagrams and interconnects
  • Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization and in multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • ITAR REQUIREMENTS:
