The role

What you'll do

  • We're looking for a skilled Finance Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the technical infrastructure that powers our financial operations. You'll serve as the bridge between finance and technology, ensuring our financial systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs as we grow. The right person blends deep technical capability with a strong grasp of accounting and finance fundamentals, and is energized by building the systems that let a fast-moving company close its books, plan its future, and stay audit-ready.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and optimize core finance systems including ERP, WMS, MES, FP&A platforms, and billing systems.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Lead system integrations between financial platforms and other enterprise tools, including CRM, HRIS and equity, MES, and data warehouses.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, automated workflows, and reporting infrastructure to support financial planning, closing, and consolidation processes.
  • Identify and resolve system issues, data integrity problems, and process bottlenecks.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and change management processes with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and data security standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, data dictionaries, and user guides.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools or vendors to improve the efficiency and scalability of financial systems.
  • Bring a "no job too small" mindset, contributing to a variety of projects and initiatives that support the growth of the business within the general scope of the role.
  • You Will Be Successful in This Role If
  • You translate fluently between finance and engineering, turning ambiguous business needs into concrete technical solutions stakeholders trust.
  • You build for reliability and scale, designing systems that hold up through close cycles, audits, and growth without constant firefighting.
  • You scope and deliver projects independently, managing requirements, trade-offs, and stakeholder buy-in from start to finish.
  • You take ownership of data integrity, treating accurate financial data as a foundational requirement rather than someone else's problem.
  • You document thoroughly, leaving systems and processes more understandable than you found them.
  • You adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and continuously improve the tools, workflows, and infrastructure around you.
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with one or more major ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with financial data models.
  • Familiarity with system integration approaches, including APIs, ETL pipelines, and middleware.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting and finance concepts (GL, AP/AR, revenue recognition, consolidations, projects, manufacturing).
  • Preferred Skills and Experience
