Co-Founder and CEO

About

Will Marshall is co-founder and CEO of Planet Labs, the publicly traded Earth-observation company he started in 2010 with Robbie Schingler and Chris Boshuizen. The three were former NASA Ames scientists, and Marshall sat on the science team for LCROSS, which confirmed water on the Moon, and was co-principal investigator on the PhoneSat program that proved consumer electronics could fly in space. He led Planet's pioneering work to build and launch a constellation of small Dove satellites that now image the entire Earth's landmass every day, and the company has become a primary commercial supplier of imagery to U.S. defense, intelligence, and civilian agencies. He is a physicist by training.
