Riley Meik is the co-founder and CEO of The American Housing Corporation, the Austin-based developer building manufactured row homes designed to drop into dense urban infill sites. He started the company in 2024 with Bobby Fijan, Harris Rothaermel and William Davis, opening a Texas factory in 2025 to ship a kit-of-parts townhouse that crews can assemble on site in days instead of months. The thesis is that fixing the housing crisis is an industrial problem, not a zoning one, and that the row house, the unit type that built American cities before suburbanization, can be re-industrialized.
