Karan Talati is co-founder and CEO of First Resonance, the Los Angeles company behind ION Factory OS — the manufacturing software now used by hundreds of hard-tech factories building rockets, satellites, electric aircraft, autonomous vehicles, and nuclear systems. Before First Resonance he was a senior software engineer at SpaceX, where he helped build the internal manufacturing software stack that ran Falcon and Dragon production. He founded First Resonance in 2019 to externalize that capability for the rest of the American hard-tech ecosystem; ION is now deployed at customers including Whisper Aero, Astranis, and Joby. The company is backed by Lux Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Craft Ventures, and Emerson Ventures.
