Jai Malik is co-founder and CEO of Amca (Advanced Manufacturing Company of America), an El Segundo aerospace and defense holding company that acquires legacy specialty suppliers and develops new high-criticality components — the sensors, power units, and flight-control computers that sit between commodity parts and full systems. Before Amca he founded Countdown Capital, an early-stage fund focused on industrial and defense startups, where he wrote some of the first checks into companies like Hadrian and Castelion. Amca launched in 2025 with $76.5M from Caffeinated Capital, Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Andreessen Horowitz, and has already acquired Electro-Mech Components in South El Monte. Malik is one of the most vocal proponents of an investor-led American manufacturing renaissance.
