Dan Magy is co-founder and CEO of Firestorm Labs, the San Diego defense startup he launched in 2022 to bring expeditionary drone manufacturing to forward-deployed U.S. forces. The company's core product, xCell, is a shipping-container-sized factory that uses 3D printing and modular tooling to produce military UAS in the field, and it has won contracts including a U.S. Air Force agreement worth up to $100 million over five years. Magy raised a $47 million Series A in 2025 to scale that model and partnered with HP on the additive-manufacturing stack. He came out of the trading world at Citadel before moving into drone and counter-drone technology.
