About
Babak Raeisinia is co-founder of Machina Labs and runs applications and partnerships across the company's aerospace, automotive, and defense customers. A materials engineer by training, he holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of British Columbia, was a research fellow at the University of Birmingham working on computational design of nickel-based superalloys, and a postdoc at the University of Virginia on magnesium-intensive automotive structures. Before Machina he led the Integrated Computational Materials Engineering effort at Novelis, the world's largest aluminum recycler, and worked at Alloyed on advanced additive metallurgy. He has authored 23 journal papers and has three patent applications to his name.
