Ajay Gummalla is a co-founder and VP of Engineering at Bedrock Robotics, where he runs the platform and infrastructure work that gets autonomous excavators and dozers onto live job sites. Before Bedrock, he was an engineering leader at Waymo, where he helped scale the systems behind the country's first commercial driverless service. He joined Boris Sofman and Kevin Peterson in 2024 to apply that playbook to the construction equipment fleet that physically builds American infrastructure.
