The Nuclear Company
Design-once, build-many fleet deployment of large US reactors
The product
A fleet-scale nuclear deployment company — not a reactor designer. The Nuclear Company aggregates sites, partners with proven licensed reactor vendors (AP1000-class), and standardizes EPC, scheduling, and supply chain across a 6 GW fleet to drive cost and schedule down the learning curve. Primary engineering and construction office in Columbia, SC.
The thesis
Nearly every other entrant in advanced nuclear is betting on a novel reactor design. TNC is the contrarian bet: the bottleneck is execution and capital aggregation, not physics. Founded by serial entrepreneurs Jonathan Webb (AppHarvest), Kiran Bhatraju (Arcadia), and Patrick Maloney (CIV); $51M Series A led by Eclipse, total funding $70M, plans to hire 100+.
