The product

Saildrone builds and operates a fleet of unmanned surface vehicles (Explorer, Voyager, Surveyor) that run multi-month missions purely on wind and solar. The Surveyor is now being weaponized in partnership with Lockheed Martin (JAGM Quad Launcher integration) for maritime strike.

Why it matters

The thesis

Persistent ocean awareness across the Pacific and Arctic at a fraction of the cost of crewed assets is what the Navy actually needs to compete with the PRC. Saildrone is the leader on persistence per dollar.
