The product

Kaleidos, a 1MW high-temperature gas-cooled microreactor sized to fit in standard shipping containers and fuel-life of up to 5 years. Targeting a 2026 fueled test — the first new commercial reactor design to reach that milestone in over 50 years.

Why it matters

The thesis

If Kaleidos works, it's the first factory-built, transportable reactor in the US since the Army's SL-1 era — unlocking off-grid power for bases, remote industry, and disaster response, and the first real proof that fission can be productized instead of site-built.
