Aurora powerhouses: compact, fast-spectrum advanced fission reactors (sodium-cooled) sized 15-75 MWe, designed to run on used nuclear fuel and HALEU. NRC-licensed COL applicant for the Idaho National Laboratory site, with additional projects targeting hyperscaler datacenter campuses.
The thesis
Oklo is the first US advanced reactor company to go public (NYSE: OKLO via AltC SPAC, May 2024) and is a leading commercial bet on small fast reactors. Its NVIDIA + Los Alamos partnership for AI-infrastructure power and Sam Altman chairmanship make it the most-watched name in advanced nuclear. If they deliver Aurora-INL on schedule, it resets the cost curve for new US fission build.
