Mariana is a vertically integrated minerals company combining mineral project development (copper, lithium, nickel, rare earths) with proprietary software, automation, and data systems. Builds and operates the physical infrastructure — pilots, processing plants — needed to extract and refine the metals that power batteries, datacenters, and weapons.
The thesis
The US is dependent on Chinese refining for nearly every critical mineral that goes into AI hardware, EV batteries, and missiles. Mariana attacks the problem with software-driven engineering and onshore project development — backed by a16z, Khosla, Breakthrough Energy, and Earthshot.
