The product
Machina Labs operates 'elastic factories' — paired 6-axis robots that incrementally form 2D sheet metal into complex 3D parts directly from CAD, layer by layer. The same line handles loading, forming, scanning, trimming, finishing, and assembly, controlled by an AI/ML stack that replaces traditional dies.
The thesis
Traditional sheet-metal tooling is slow, expensive, and rigid. Machina's roboforming approach removes the die altogether, enabling on-demand custom panels for aerospace, defense, and energy.
