The product
General Fabrication is a manufacturing-robotics company building modular fabrication cells and turnkey factory arrays. Through its fab.services platform, it produces precision electronic assemblies on demand in days. The bigger ambition is a 'minimum viable von Neumann constructor' — a self-replicating industrial stack at the scale of one company.
The thesis
Most reindustrialization plays are vertically integrated factories. General Fabrication is going after the layer underneath: the machine tools and modular cells themselves. If it works, it sells the picks-and-shovels for everyone else's factories.
