Firestorm Labs

3D-printed expeditionary drones, made inside a shipping container.

What they build

The product

Firestorm builds the Tempest family of modular UAS, 3D-printed in as little as 9 hours and assembled in 36, plus xCell — a containerized mobile microfactory that can print drones at the point of need. Won a $100M IDIQ from the Air Force for reconfigurable Tempest variants.

Why it matters

The thesis

Mass and tempo win drone wars; legacy supply chains can't print thousands of UAVs at the edge. Firestorm's containerized print-and-fly is one of the most concrete examples of distributed industrial capacity for warfare.
