The product
Bedrock builds an autonomy stack (sensors, compute, software) that retrofits onto existing heavy construction equipment - excavators, bulldozers, loaders - to enable operator-less operation on US construction sites. The team comes from Waymo, Segment, and Uber Freight.
The thesis
US construction labor is structurally short, and operator-less heavy equipment is a force multiplier for housing, infrastructure, and energy buildout - all reindustrialization priorities. A practical robotics application that delivers in-the-dirt utility, not demos.
