The product
Arbor takes biomass waste, gasifies it, burns the syngas in pure oxygen at supercritical pressure (using oxy-combustion + supercritical CO2 turbomachinery the founders developed for SpaceX rocket engines), generates electricity, and captures the resulting CO2 stream. Net-negative emissions per MWh, plus carbon-removal credits.
The thesis
Bioenergy with carbon capture (BECCS) is the only path that delivers dispatchable clean electricity AND permanent carbon removal in the same cycle. Arbor's rocket-engine approach to combustion + turbomachinery is what makes the unit economics actually work where prior BECCS attempts failed.
